What We Do
For more than two decades, Wagner Foundation has been committed to building healthier communities by investing in and accompanying organizations dedicated to health equity, economic wellbeing, and the transformative power of art and culture. Together with our partners in the US and around the world, we celebrate our shared humanity and strive for long-term solutions to some of our most complex global challenges.
Learn more about our focus areas-
Art & Culture
We center artists as catalysts of change and community development through local and national investments in contemporary visual art exhibitions, publications, public art, and visual arts organizations at all scales.
-
Economic Wellbeing
We collaborate with partners to expand access to wealth-building opportunities and create pathways to fair wages, ensuring everyone has the resources they need to thrive.
-
Health Equity
We partner with organizations focused on clinical healthcare delivery, public health systems, and the social, cultural, and environmental factors that impact health.

Grantmaking
We take an accompaniment approach to philanthropy, which embraces a type of partnership that goes beyond simply providing funding and stepping back. We work alongside our grantee partners throughout the lifecycle of the grant, acknowledging the complex challenges they are navigating, and look to them to identify where we can provide added support as needed.

Who We Are
Our team of mission-driven philanthropy professionals bring decades of experience and deep commitment to the work of building healthier communities and a more just, vibrant world.
